The total trade for February 2025 was BND1,794.2 million comprising exports valued at BND1,130.0 million and imports amounting to BND 664.2 million.

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II of Brunei Darussalam attended the 12 th AFMGM and Related Meetings held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Also present at the Meetings was Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Rashidah binti Haji Sabtu, Managing Director of the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB).

Brunei Darussalam Assessing The Potential Impacts of the United States' Tariff Regime on Its Exports to the United States

Following the recent announcement made by the United States of America on the universal tariff of 10 per cent on all imports into the US and the reciprocal tariff of 24 per cent on Brunei exports to the US, the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE) will be engaging with US counterparts to seek clarifications and better understand on US’s new tariff regime. ​

Temporary Closure of Petrol Stations For The Inspection and Verification of Fuel Dispensing Pumps for the Month of April 2025

29 March 2025 

Industry and Business Ecosystem Division (IBE) through Weights and Measures Unit (SDT) under the Ministry of Finance and Economy will carry out the verification of accuracy readings on fuel dispensing pumps at various fuel stations in accordance with the Weights and Measures Act 1983 Chapter 151. Whereby, the stipulated guidelines under the Act require all weighing and measuring machines used for trading purposes to be checked for their accuracy and validity, and whether the machines have already been registered with the SDT Unit.

This follows routine inspections conducted on participants of Jualan Mega Brunei (JMB) 2025 campaign. ​

Exports Unit Value and Volume Index Show Growth in 2024

In 2024, the total exports value increased by 1.9 percent, driven by a rise in the exports unit value index (0.7 percent) and the exports volume index (12.4 percent). The growth was mainly attributed to higher exports of Machinery and Transport Equipment, Manufactured Goods, and Mineral Fuels. Meanwhile, the exports volume index increased due to a rise in Mineral Fuels, Chemicals, and Beverages.
