Joint Operation On Weights And Measures Machines, Price-Controlled Items And Price Display

Industry and Business Ecosystem Division (IBE) through Weights and Measures Unit (SDT) and Department of Economic Planning and Statistics (DEPS) through Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) under the Ministry of Finance and Economy conducted a Joint Operation at business premises in Kampong Bukit Panggal, Kampong Penanjong dan Kampong Batang Buruk, Tutong District on Thursday, 22nd August 2024.

Temporary Closure of Petrol Stations for The Inspection And Verification Of Fuel Dispensing Pumps For The Month Of September 2024

Industry and Business Ecosystem Division (IBE) through Weights and Measures Unit (SDT) under the Ministry of Finance and Economy will carry out the verification of accuracy readings on fuel dispensing pumps at various fuel stations in accordance with the Weights and Measures Act 1983 Chapter 151. Whereby, the stipulated guidelines under the Act require all weighing and measuring machines used for trading purposes to be checked for their accuracy and validity, and whether the machines have already been registered with the SDT Unit.

The 4 th Brunei-Guangxi Economic Corridor (BGEC) Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) Meeting was held at the Empire Hotel in Bandar Seri Begawan on 25th August 2024. Present at the meeting were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at The Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II; and His Excellency Mr. Liu Ning, Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, People’s Republic of China (PRC).

Final Report of the Labour Force Survey (LFS) 2023 Recorded an Increase in Employed Population

The Final Report of the Labour Force Survey (LFS) 2023, based on the final data from the survey has been released by the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics (DEPS), Ministry of Finance and Economy. The report provides a more detailed information on the labour force in Brunei Darussalam such as employment status, types of economic activity and occupation, employment sector, working hours and income from employment.
