​Registrations of Public Accountants

The Ministry of Finance and Economy through the Public Accountants Oversight Committee (PAOC) was established on the 1st of November 2012 under the Accountants Act, Chapter 268. The main objective is to supervise public accountants in Brunei Darussalam in accordance to the Accountants Act. Revenue Division is also appointed as the Registrar of Public Accountants to carry out the functions and duties and exercises the powers in accordance with such general or special directions set by the Ministry of Finance and Economy or the PAOC.


Registration of Public Accountants


STEP 1: A person who intends to be a public accountant in Brunei Darussalam must fulfill the prescribed guidelines set by Ministry of Finance and Economy. [Downl​oad here

STEP 2: If a person fulfill the criteria in STEP 1, he/she must fill in the application form for registration as Public Accountants (applicable for renewal). [Download here]

STEP 3: If a public accountant intend to set up an Accounting Corporation/Accounting Firms/Accounting Limited Liabilities Partnership in Brunei Darussalam must fill in the application form. [Download here]

STEP 4: All application forms must be submitted as hardcopies to:
