Dr Hajah May Fa'ezah is currently the Permanent Secretary (Economy) at the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE), Brunei Darussalam. Prior to her appointment as the Permanent Secretary (Economy) on the 20th September 2018, Dr Hajah May Fa'ezah served as the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Economy and Finance) at the Prime Minister's Office from 3rd November 2015. Her current portfolio includes economic planning, international trade and research at MOFE.
She began her career as a Tutor at University Brunei Darussalam (UBD) in 1998 and soon after, a Lecturer for Economics. In 2011, she was appointed as a Director General for the Department of Economic Planning and Development and on 1st November 2014, Dr Hajah May Fa'ezah became a Senior Advisor to the Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund, Washington D.C., for 1 year.
Dr Hajah May Fa'ezah holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Kent, United Kingdom (2009), a MSc in Economics from University of Warwick, United Kingdom (2000) and a first class BA Degree in Economics and English Language from University Brunei Darussalam (1998). She is married with 3 children.
