Roles

• To lead, facilitate and promote the development of standards and conformance activities in BD

• Acts as Regulator and Service Provider in carrying out inspection and calibration services in accordance to W&M Act 1983

• Act as “National Inquiry Point” in matters related to WTO Technical Barrier to Trade (WTO)​

By ensuring the quality of products and services adherent to national and international requirements; that world enhance competitiveness, growth, market access as well as Bruneian's quality of life

Mission

To protect consumer, health safety and environment by raising the levels of quality, safety, reliability, efficiency, sustainability and  interchangeability through promoting, utilizing and recognizing standards, accreditation and conformance amongst the Brunei government, regulators, industry and consumers
