Pusat Standard dan Akreditasi Brunei Darussalam (PSABD) of the Ministry of Finance and Economy conducted a Standard Awareness Workshop on ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management Systems (QMS) on 24th June 2025. The workshop, held at the Main Auditorium, D&T Building in Kg Anggrek Desa, brought together participants from government agencies, private enterprises, and academic institutions.

The workshop was officiated by Yang Mulia Dk Hjh Nadiah Annasyitah binti Pg DP Haji Abu Bakar, Acting Director of PSABD. In her opening remarks, she underscored the critical importance of maintaining consistent quality as a strategic necessity in today’s dynamic global landscape. She highlighted how ISO 9001:2015 supports not only compliance, but also long-term organizational transformation. High-quality systems help institutions become more efficient, resilient, and customer-focused. These attributes are crucial in developing a productive and innovative economy, as envisioned in Wawasan Brunei 2035 and Brunei Darussalam Economic Blueprint. 

The workshop, facilitated by Yang Mulia Mr. Doniparthi Srinivasulu, Lead Auditor and Trainer, Bureau Veritas, aims to introduce participants to ISO 9001:2015, an internationally recognized standard that provides organizations with a structured framework to consistently deliver value, manage risks, and improve operations. The workshop, among others, provided insights into the value of a process-based approach to management and the application of risk-based thinking to guide organizational decisions. 

PSABD remains committed in promoting a culture of quality and excellence in Brunei Darussalam. As Brunei Darussalam continues its transformation into a competitive and dynamic economy, the adoption of standards like ISO 9001:2015 remains essential to fostering excellence and enabling sustainable growth across sectors.
