The Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE) has launched TAFIS 2.0, a new
accounting and payment system built on the SAP platform, to replace the previous
system commencing on 1st. April 2024, to coincide with the beginning of the Financial
Year 2024/2025. As with any implementation of a new system, it is expected that some
issues and challenges may arise during the system stabilization period.
MOFE takes all responses and complaints seriously, especially on untimely payments.
In this regards, MOFE would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused and is
highly committed to resolving any arising issues to ensure payments are made timely
and accurately to recipients and vendors.
MOFE through the Treasury Department, has initiated immediate actions to tackle the
issues and challenges encountered during the implementation of TAFIS 2.0 and has
taken measures that include:
- Accelerating trainings for all Ministries and Government Departments, which
have begun prior to the launch of TAFIS 2.0 and currently ongoing;
- Organize intensive courses for the Purchase Order (PO) and payment modules
for all Ministries and Government Departments to facilitate their payment
processes. Ministries and Government Departments that require additional
trainings are advised to contact Treasury Department to schedule the training
sessions;
- A User Clinic has been setup in MOFE to assist Ministries and Government
Departments that require hands-on trainings in using TAFIS 2.0;
- To accelerate the payment process for claims submitted in the previous
Financial Year, an ICU Payment Clinic has been setup in MOFE to facilitate this;
- Vendors that are expecting payment but are not yet registered in the
Government Vendor Portal (GVP) are strongly advised to register as soon as
possible. Any vendor who require assistance in registering, a Vendor Clinic has
been setup in MOFE to facilitate this. For vendors who have successfully registered in GVP will be invited to attend a briefing on using GVP such as
reviewing PO and submitting invoices.
With the above actions in place, MOFE hopes that:
- Vendors who have not yet registered in GVP are strongly advised to register as
soon as possible or those whose registration were unsuccessful are advised to check
their email inbox to ensure all enquires are addressed timely. Vendors who require
assistance in registering to the GVP are welcome to attend the Vendor Clinic
held at MOFE;
- For any inquiries, Ministries, Government Departments and vendors may
contact our Customer Care Centre at +673 2383444 or email the TAFIS 2.0
Helpdesk at tafis.ppp@mofe.gov.bn.
Once again, MOFE would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused. The
cooperation, understanding and support from all users and vendors are greatly
appreciated.
