The Ministry of Finance and Economy and its departments yesterday afternoon held the mass Fardu Asar prayer, reading of Surah Yaasin, Bertahlil and Doa Kesyukuran. The religious function, in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 73rd Birthday celebration took place at the Ash-Shaliheen.

In attendance was Dato Seri Paduka Doctor Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, the Acting Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy. Also present was Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Permanent Secretary for Investment at the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

The reading of Surah Yaasin, Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran was led by Awang Anuar bin Haji Salim, the Prayer Leader of Ash-Shaliheen mosque. The event was held to express gratitude towards His Majesty's leadership and to seek supplications from Allah Subahanahu Wataala for His Majesty's long life, health and reign with a foundation of faith and guided by Allah Subahanahu Wataala. The ceremony was organised by the Department Planning and Economy Development.
