​THE Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) and departments under it held a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony at Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Malik Mosque in Kampong Tungku, Gadong yesterday.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah was the guest of honour.

Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Dato Seri Paduka Awang Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman; Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin; permanent secretaries, heads of department and division, officers and staff at the ministry were also present.

Similar ceremony will be held at three other mosques; Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam Mosque in Kampong Sengkarai in Tutong tomorrow, Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Jalan Bebatik Kilanas on May 18 and a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at the Ash -Shaliheen Mosque on May 20.
