Pure Fresh International Holdings Limited held an event to launch seafood products under a co-branding arrangement between °C FRESH and bruneihalalfoods
and subsequently the opening ceremony for the Brunei National Pavilion on JD.com, China’s largest retailer for online and offline.
The event took place in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, and was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy.
During the Minister’s remarks, he highlighted that the Brunei National Pavilion provides an opportunity for products made in Brunei to be marketed in China via JD.com’s platform and hence allowing greater exposure for various high quality food products from Brunei. Furthermore, the event is one of the result of the long standing relationship between companies from Brunei and China and urged for such collaborations to continue and thrive.
Mr Eyan Ou, Chief Executive Officer of Brunei Industrial Investment Holdings Co., Limited, in his opening remarks indicated that there are remarkable synergies to be accomplished from this collaboration by leveraging on each partner’s strengths and resources such as brand reputation, market knowledge, research capabilities, distribution channels, fresh farms as well as cutting edge retail model and technology. The active participation from the various parties will ensure consumers are always met with the highest quality of Halal products from Brunei and it represents a key component towards the success of the Marine Seafood Industry.
In addition, Yishen Tang, senior director of 7FRESH Business Development at JD.com, expressed his utmost support towards the launch of the Brunei national store on JD.com. He emphasised that JD.com’s robust capabilities enable the company to provide its partners with the necessary infrastructure to succeed in the Chinese market. He added that JD is committed to bringing the best products and brands from Brunei as well as the rest of the world to Chinese consumers.
