Temburong Bridge operating hours extended

The time to use the Temburong Bridge has been extended from 6am to 10pm from today, said Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah at a press conference at the Ministry of Health yesterday.

“By the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and taking into account the improving COVID-19 situation and with the advice of the Ministry of Health, the operating hours of Temburong Bridge connecting the Temburong District and Brunei-Muara District have been extended from 6am to 10pm everyday starting today,” he said.

The minister said the CCTV operates along the bridge to monitor the situation on the bridge 24 hours daily.

The public is advised to carry out social responsibility by driving carefully as well as complying to the Road Traffic Act, Chapter 68 to maintain the safety and well-being of all road users.

The Royal Brunei Police Force and the Management Committee for the bridge project will conduct patrols and users found violating rules will be punished.
