This was revealed by Ministry at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah during yesterday's joint press conference at the Ministry of Health (MoH), following suggestions from companies and the public who wish to make voluntary donations to help the government, especially the MoH to purchase equipment and essentials to curb the transmission of COVID-19.

The minister added that, to date, some in-kind donations have been received from companies which helped the government and the MoH to deliver goods to quarantine centres for daily needs and front liners at these centres.

Companies and the public can make donations via online transfers directly to the COVID-19 Relief Fund current account number 1010070123 with Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) from yesterday.

The minister said the Ministry of Finance and Economy through the Treasury Department will control and withdraw the funds upon approval from himself as the Minister at Prime Minister's Office and the Minister of Finance and Economy II as well as from the Minister of Health.
