The National Development Plan Division, Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE) in collaboration with the Belait District Department, Ministry of Home Affairs held the ‘Jelajah RKN’ to socialise The Twelfth National Development Plan (RKN12) on Tuesday, 2nd December 2025 at Dewan Muhibbah, Jalan Lapangan Terbang Lama, Berakas. Present as the Guest of Honour for the ceremony was Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, Acting Brunei dan Muara District Officer, Brunei and Muara District Department.
Jelajah RKN program is an ongoing initiative by the Ministry to socialise on the RKN12 planning which act as the main foundation in providing development to support the realization of Brunei Vision 2035. The socialisation program also highlighted on the importance of active involvement of Penghulu Mukim, Village Heads and the private sectors as drivers of economic growth, as well as the participation of local entrepreneurs and developers in the development projects across the country. The implementation of RKN12 projects development in Brunei and Muara District will focus on improving basic infrastructure including industrial areas, education and health facilities, public amenities as well as implementing digitalization and green technology initiatives that support new economic growth.
Also present during the event were Yang Berhormat Awang Amran bin Haji Maidin, Member of the Legislative Council; Director of the National Development Plan Division, Ministry of Finance and Economy, Dayang Hajah Salawati binti Haji Puasa; Heads of Departments; Penghulus of Mukim; Village Chiefs; Members of the Village Consultative Council (MPK); and private sectors in the Brunei and Muara District.
During the event, apart from the Briefing on the Twelfth National Development Plan (RKN12) and the Brunei Accredited Green Unified Seal (BAGUS), by the Authority for Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi), Ministry of Development, there was also RKN12 Mini Exhibition as well as Village Consultative Council dan Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises booths promoting local products and cultures.
