PBD 48:2024 – Brunei Standards for Oyster Mushroom (Cendawan Tiram)
PBD 49:2024 – Brunei Standards for Banana (Pisang)
PBD 50:2024 – Brunei Standards for Pineapple (Nenas)
PBD 51:2024 – Brunei Standards for Tomatoes (Tomato)
PBD 52:2024 – Brunei Standards for Young Coconut (Kelapa Muda)
Pusat Standard dan Akreditasi Brunei Darussalam (PSABD) at the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE), in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood (DoAA) at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) conducted a socialisation programme on the 1st December 2025 at Simpur Hall, Rimba Horticulture Business Centre, Gadong, DoAA for the seven (7) newly published national standards as listed below:-

The objective of this socialisation event is to introduce and to inform the public and stakeholders about the seven (7) newly published national standards to be practiced in the local agriculture industry.
During the event, a presentation was delivered by Yang Mulia Awg Muhammad Noor Abdillah bin Hazaman, Assistant Work Officer Grade I on the importance of standards and PSABD’s role in standards development followed by an explanation by Yang Mulia Awg Mohammad Faa’id bin Haji Mohammad Kasim, Agriculture Officer from DoAA, MPRT highlighting the content of the seven (7) newly published standards. It is hoped that these standards will serve as a general reference and guidance for importers, exporters, academic researchers, policy makers and also for the general public who are involved in various aspects of the food supply chain as well as agriculture activities.
The socialization event was attended by relevant stakeholders from various government departments and private sectors namely farmers, representatives from supermarkets, agricultural crop suppliers, importers/exporters, higher education institutions, cooperatives, officials and staff from both PSABD’s and DoAA. The socialisation concluded with the selling of the seven (7) newly published national standards to realize the initiatives of both the PSABD and DoAA, MPRT.
