​THE Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) organised a Tahlil ceremony to pay respects to Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at the Royal Mausoleum yesterday.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah together with Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Dato Seri Paduka Awang Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman and Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin.

The permanent secretaries at the MoFE, deputy permanent secretaries at the MoFE, heads of departments and staff members of the MoFE and departments under it were also present.

The annual religious event began with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, followed by a mass Tahlil recitation led by Mosque Affairs Officer at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Pengiran Haji Mohd Hafizuddin bin Pengiran Haji Bakar.
