THE Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) and its department organised a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with the 35th National Day at the ministry’s surau yesterday.

Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Dato Seri Paduka Awang Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman was present as the representative of the minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and MoFE.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the reading of Surah Adh-Dhuha to Surah Al-Massad.

The event proceeded with the recitation of Doa Khatam and Doa Selamat led by Muhd Adibul Amin bin Pengiran Haji Marjuki.

Among the objectives of the ceremony were to further enliven the celebration of the National Day with beneficial activities especially in reading Al-Quran in accordance with the desire of the country as a Zikir Nation.

Permanent secretaries, heads of departments and divisions, officers and staff members of the ministry and its departments were also present.
