As an ongoing effort to curb the spread of COVID-19, BIBD intends to reactivate the 'Community for Brunei' initiative. This initiative is one of BIBD's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, in addition to other CSRs, namely BIBD ALAF; BIBD SEED; BIBD Catalyst; and BIBD Connects. The objective of 'Community for Brunei' this time is to provide a digital platform for:
The collection of donations for non-governmental organizations or NGOs through the digital platform 'Community for Brunei' in an effort to support the frontliners, especially those located at the National Isolation Center (NIC) in Tutong District and also several vaccination centers throughout the country by providing supplies needed such as scrubs, food, and daily necessities. People who visit this digital platform will also be able to see any NGOs that are raising donation funds, where these donation funds will be distributed, and the amount required for NGOs to achieve their donation goals;
The registration of the members of the public who wish to register as volunteers to participate and contribute by following any NGOs such as COVID-19 Youth Volunteers and Brunei Red Crescent Society, where among the NGO's initiatives are to distribute food and face masks to the less fortunate and other necessary parties;
Support the efforts of the Ministry of Health through the vaccination campaign #keepbruneicovidsafe by raising awareness and encouraging the public to receive vaccination; and
Assist MSMEs who aspires to become vendors in the virtual marketplace and continue their business virtually for the safety of employees and customers as well as the continuity of their business.
