As per recommendations raised during the Press Conference session held on Tuesday, 10^th August 2021 regarding the COVID-19 Relief Fund, it is hereby informed that His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented for the Government of His Majesty to reactivate the COVID-19 Relief Fund to enable the public who wish to make voluntary contributions to assist the Government, especially the Ministry of Health to purchase equipment and necessities in curbing the spread of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam.

Companies and the public can make the contribution through direct online transfer into the COVID-19 Relief Fund account under the Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) starting on Thursday, 12^th August 2021. The details are as follows:

To ensure that the contributions is used in accordance with its objective, the Ministry of Finance and Economy through the Treasury Department will control dan disburse the funds after obtaining permission from YB Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II and YB Minister of Health.
